    Many stories talk about indigo generation with all their supernatural powers trying to stay on the line with the world nowadays, from extreme point of view like X-Men until base-on-facts story like X-Files. Most stories come in horror or action not many of them really dig into how the person handles their powers to its surrounding environment which make theme stay aware and sane.

 

Telepathic Wanderers give us an honest picture on how a beautiful young lady with the ability to hear mind of another try to overcome her anxiety in hearing things that she don’t need to hear, the manga describe clearly how guys have a dirty mind about ladies and she is hardly trying to ignore those sounds when she is facing them in public places, this condition make her more comfort near guys with no evil mind like nerd or childish person.

Further stories shows more people with powers like telekinetic, time travel, clairvoyance, future-connection, etc. All this people are interact one another with interesting plot on saving others lives. Some interesting moment when she mixed up between saving lives of hundred in a train accident and hiding her power, what she can only do is ask kindly and bow to the passenger near her to took off with her in the station before the accident occur even she knows that it convince no one.

Unfortunately the ending somehow flaws when there are group of people who tried to eradicate people like her from this world, and comes a theory about disturbances of nature balance causing by the existence of indigo, then the story become more less like X-files.

This story created by Yasutaka Tsutsui and drawn by Yamazaki Sayaka, I have not found other manga by these guys. But this title truly amazes me on how honest they describe a human mind.

What is the most powerful weapon ever created by human ?, some stories tells us that human soldier itself is the deadliest weapon that can be created, movies like Terminator, Universal Soldier, etc describe very well how human can be very dangerous.

But does anyone ever explore deeper on how human shape figure can appear to be a weapon ?, its more than just carrying gun or knife, something related to advance technology, lets say laser, cyborg, nanotech, etc. Ryoji Minagawa (Spriggan) push all this issue to its limit on his Manga called “Project ARMS”, if you ever read Spriggan you can see the original idea of this weapon exploration coming from.

 

The story is about four youngster that actually part of bio-engineering weapon project that gives them bodypart-weapon implant called ARMS, further these ARMS have its own manifestation that try too take over their body and mind. EGRIGORI is the worldwide foundation who responsible for everything, and each chapters showing the battle between ARMS and Egrigori’s agents, what intense me is that along the story the agent got more advance type of battle, from ordinary cyborg, ESP user, bio-engineered soldier until group of what they call “successors”, and in the last chapter they will also fought group of evil ARMS.

Another attractiveness of this Manga is that every terminology is taken from “Alice in Wonderland” story, the four ARMS are Jabberwok, Knight, White-Rabbit and Queen of Heart, the other ARMS are Humpty-Dumpty, Cheshire-Cat, etc, character Alice also play role as an artificial intelligent of a powerful supercomputer. All this chapters presented elegantly that bring the reader slowly to the main answer and didn’t seems to desperately lengthen the series like any other mainstream Manga titles.

What if you can make a hole at the wall just by looking at it ?, what if you can make an explosion a miles radius without yourself getting hurt ?, what if you can control nuclear warhead missiles launch with only your mind ?, what if you can cut through dimension ?. All this question can be seen and enjoyed at Project ARMS,

Yet another marvelous effort from Ryoji Minagawa on exploring humanity act beyond the limit.

How many times have you encounter a surprising coincidence of human interaction ?, like meet your high school friends as a new staff at your office, or your friend get married with your other friend that you knew in different moment. Among all coincidence cases that might happen I just experience one surprising condition that I can’t believe it can happen until now.

In my last post I wrote about my travel to Temasek land, on the boat from Batam I meet Italian engineer that just about to go back home via Changi Airport after three weeks of duty at Batam, this is happen on November 2007. Last week (Feb 2008) when I took a boat again from Batam as I back from Jakarta after long weekend holiday, I can’t believe my eyes that among the crowd passengers inside the boat I saw this Italian again, how is this possible..!, I come to him and luckily he still recognize me and the next moment both of us laughing and keep wonder how can this be happen, that time he also about to back to Italy first flight tomorrow morning after two weeks duty in Batam.

How does this encounter can make sense..?, I always believe that human interaction will always come in chaotic relation, which mean that the probability of meeting someone you know in unarranged circumstances is close to zero, any complicated calculation I believe will always give small number of probability. But those small things might occur just like what I have experience, this makes me believe that the universe have an unknown laws that can estimate human interaction and make live flows in harmonic rhythms, and perhaps mystical world of prophecy already use this law that discover by our ancestor in one of those unexplained ancient advance technology.
